8 to 17 May The Fitzrovia Chapel is delighted to host the Terry Higgins Memorial Quilt in partnership with Terrence Higgins Trust. Terry Higgins was the first named person to die of AIDS in the UK, and Terrence Higgins Trust was founded in his memory in 1982. Since then, the trust has played a central role in HIV and sexual health campaigning. Through their work they continue to support those affected, destigmatise the virus and raise awareness of sexual health issues.
Discover Sanctuary
Visit, film, exhibit, wonder, marry, celebrate, record, listen, show, be. The Grade II*-listed Fitzrovia Chapel, once the chapel of the former Middlesex Hospital and now beautifully preserved and restored, is a stunning hidden gem in the heart of the city. Never consecrated, the nineteenth century chapel, a charitable foundation, is a luminous place to get married, display a beautiful object, steep yourself in history and architecture or just sit and reflect.
We are displaying the Terry Higgins Memorial Quilt in May. See our What’s On page for more information and for dates.
